Members of the Binghamton chapter are pleased to invite you to join our ranks (sorry about that, but it would be really Great to have you with us).

Apart from the collegiality of a wonderful group of your peers, AGO membership offers many benefits, including:

  • Mixtures, our chapter newsletter
  • Job placement services at both the local and national levels
  • Professional development resources
  • Educational activities
  • Eligibility for group insurance plans offered by the national organization
These are but a few of the benefits that membership in the Guild offers. A more comprehensive list is available on the national website at

Our Registrar, Richard Sheasley provided the following in the April 2015 issue of Mixtures:

ONCARD report from AGO Headquarters…Excerpted from a 3/24/15 email

During the 2014-2015 renewal period, 241 of the 303 active AGO chapters participated in ONCARD. Headquarters sent several renewal reminders by email and mail, and we processed thousands of renewals received by checks in the mail and by credit card over a secure connection online (https). Renewal rates for chapters that participated in ONCARD actually surpassed those for non-participating chapters!

We will soon invite members to review and update their personal data via ONCARD, with renewal notices to shortly follow for those chapters participating in ONCARD.

Over the past year we have made many changes to ONCARD in response to the many helpful comments received by chapter officers and members. We are thankful for this feedback and support, as we move forward to make this year’s renewal season even more successful than last year’s!

New memberships and renewals are encouraged to be done through the ONCARD system. Renewals of current memberships are due by the traditional date of June 30. New memberships can now be made at any time during the year with renewals at the anniversary. Credit card payment can only be made through the ONCARD system.
